Officially it is a new category of vehicle called an Autocycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How fast does it go?<\/strong>
135 mph \/ 217 kmh <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did you build it yourself?<\/strong>
No! It is made by Polaris and we ordered ours through Wolf Motors in London, Ontario<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What size motor does it have?<\/strong>
It has a 2.4 litre GM Ecotec 14 (2384 cc).

The Slingshot has a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, side-by-side bucket seats, and does not lean. It has no roof, doors, or side windows and the whole interior is waterproof so it can be hosed down and drained out using drain holes in the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depending on jurisdiction, the Slingshot may be registered as a motorcycle or as an autocycle, and in certain jurisdictions the driver and passenger must wear motorcycle helmets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ernie calls all the females in our family \u201cSilly Girl\u201d, including our puppy. Even though we had a great list of excellent names, at the last possible minute, he threw this name out there and explained how much sense it makes\u2026 so we went with it even though her official name is something else.<\/p>
